Some Unholy War

So i've been on a major hiatus, yeah, I know. So on my way home from school i'm thinking about how i'm gonna need a serious justification and a killer post to excuse such a long leave of absence to my faithful followers and i'm like that's just it - I can title the post "Justification of the Unholy Hiatus"! But then i'm like ok so i've got a title...for the post now...hmmm...lets see...the only thing i've been doing for the last week or two is schoolwork so I haven't come across anything post-worthy, the only thing on my mind for the last week or two is schoolwork so I really couldn't think of anything either. Then it came to me - one of, if not my alltime, favorite Amy Winehouse song: Some Unholy War. I love this song. I love the lyrics and it feels like there is so much genuine emotion in it. Not to mention, I just like how it sounds; it's one of those songs that no matter how many times it comes on on my iPod, I never change it.
Have a listen and read the lyrics -
I definetely feel Amy on this one.

TWO THOUSAND NINE : BIG EGOS, BLOGS & BROOKLYN

Dear 2009,
My name is Daisy Clover Clementine and as I'll be living with you for the next 350+ days, I thought that it is only right that we get a bit better acquainted. I'll start by saying that I don't know much about you other than the fact that you're quite young. As you may know, I had a bit of a bittersweet relationship with your predecessor. Although we had our share of rocky roads, I do hope that you grow to be as sweet as she was on her good days, because when she was good, she was great! Anywho, enough with her and you; lets shift the subject slightly: ME! I won't go into too much detail but here are two facts about myself that you need to know for us to get along for the next twelve months. Firstly, I am a boss in training. I'm sure you've heard of the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), well I'm the president of it's presently fictional counterpart, the FBLFI (Future Boss Ladies of the Fashion Industry). Secondly, aside from my budding vocational advancement, I am also working on personal elevation. This is a process that you will probably not see the end of as I'm sure it will outlive you, but you will be here for the infancy stages which is equally important. Those two issues are basically the title of this letter in a nutshell. Oh yeah - and thirdly Brooklyn: Brooklyn is FLY. I AM FLY. Brooklyn has always been fly but there has been a recent surge in recognition to the baddest (bad in a good way) borough and that's kinda like me; been fly since '86 but '09 is the time for Daisy Clover Clementine to really start to SHINE! So keep these things in mind and we should be just fine Little Miss 2009.

Kindest Regards,
Daisy Clover Clementine
